If your business would like to host a trick-or-treat booth at the event, there is no charge! Contact us at Jamie@downtownmcminnville.com to register for a spot. Space is limited so act fast!

mcminnville city park cleanup

2015_8_6_City_Park_1_midresinstagram.jpg

Join us August 26th at 10am:

It's important that public spaces are accessible and safe for all.  Help us tidy up our largest outdoor asset in downtown.   Meet us by the fountain between the public library and the aquatic center for some coffee, snacks, and instructions.  We'll begin at 10am and go until the park is all cleaned up.

Gloves, equipment, and trash disposal will all be provided - just bring yourself!

To RSVP to this event on Facebook, click here.

Smoke Free Third Street

town_restaurant_hillstead.jpg

Breathe easy - at the recommendation of the Downtown Safety Task Force, City Council has established a few “smoke free” zones: - Third St. and 50 feet on either side (north/south). - City parks - 10 feet from commercial entrances/air intake MDA has committed to help inform businesses about how these new regulations will affect them. City Police and Park Rangers will be educating the public during the first months of implementation.  For more information on Ordinance 5054, click here.

gift certificate upgrade

MDA_GC_Design.jpg

August 2018:

Every year, the MDA Gift Certificate program helps facilitate $30,000 of spending at local McMinnville businesses. In the coming month we’ll be upgrading our system to a new, card based platform. What does this mean for participating businesses?  It's cheaper; no 5% admin fee. You pay the same rates you pay to run a Visa credit card.  It's faster; no waiting for reimbursement - you get paid as soon as you swipe the card.

6 goals,12 months

6goals12months2.jpg

July 2018:

The MDA has had the same committee structure since 1986. This year, we are aligning our existing committees with the action-oriented goals they’ve always been working toward. Over the coming year, we’ll be engaging volunteers and our downtown stakeholders to make concrete, measurable progress toward six goals. For details, click here.
